You must pay the Course fee when you enroll. (See the Enrollment Agreement for a full description of the Refund Policy.)
Can I take breaks and/or review the lessons?
Yes. You can complete the Course in one sitting, or over several days or weeks—up to 90 days from the date you enroll. I waited too long! Will the Court give me an extension?
Call the Court at the number on your ticket and ask about the Court’s policy. Some Courts may grant you an extension request over the phone; others may require you to appear in person. DriverSafety USA has no control over whether you can obtain an extension of time and has no input regarding this or any other Court process.

The administrative fees and fines imposed by the Court, if any, are separate from the registration fee DriverSafety USA charges for this Course; all must be paid.
Where can I read the terms under which I can take this Course?
You will find the terms in the "Enrollment Agreement" for the Course. You’ll need to “Accept" the terms before beginning the Course.
What are the minimum system requirements for Course completion?
To help you determine that you can view and use the DriverSafety USA Course, we will evaluate some of your computer settings before you begin the Course. For more detail about system requirements, please review the DriverSafety USA System Requirements.
Do I need any special software or hardware?
You need a computer with a mouse, keyboard, speakers, and Internet connection—a fast Internet connection is best. It is best to use Google Chrome for your browser. You don’t need a printer to take the Course.
No, not to complete the Course. But we recommend that you provide an e-mail address so that we can send you confirmations of your login & password and payment information, as well as a confirmation of your completion of the Course. You can also exchange e-mail messages or chat with our customer support staff. DriverSafety USA will not reveal your e-mail address to any unrelated third parties.
What if I lose my connection or have a computer problem?
The Course automatically saves your progress when you complete each page in the Course, so you won’t have to start over if you lose your connection to the website, or if your computer crashes. Just resume the Course when you’re able—you’ll be returned to the last page you were viewing.
First, check your enrollment confirmation—it will list your password if you chose to have us e-mail it to you. If you don’t have your confirmation, click on Help Me Remember My Password. If that doesn’t work, contact us at 1-800-980-2170 (Hearing impaired can call 1-800-980-2172 TDD/TTY). We’ll be happy to help you.
I’m having trouble starting or resuming the Course.
Be sure that you’re entering your username and password exactly
the way you provided it when you enrolled.
If you’re stuck on a
page, click on your web browser’s “Refresh" button.
It may help to
clear your temporary Internet files, or “cache." If you use Internet
Explorer, just click on “Tools" on Explorer’s toolbar, then choose
“Internet Options" and click on “Delete Files" (including “All Offline
Content"). If you are using Netscape or Mozilla, you’ll find options for
clearing your cache in Preferences—click on the “Advanced" tab within
Preferences, and then the “cache" item for options. Please see your
browser’s Help documentation for more information or for information
regarding other browsers.
Remember, you can always contact us at help@SAFETY-USA.com, or call us at
1-800-980-2170 (Hearing impaired can call 1-800-980-2172 TDD/TTY) for
24-hour support if you need additional help.
I just got an error message. What now?
Try logging out and then logging back in by clicking Resume Course. Don’t worry, your progress won’t be lost. If the problem persists, please make a note of the specific error message and contact us at 1-800-980-2170 (Hearing impaired can call 1-800-980-2172 TDD/TTY).
The Course pages on the web site are not appearing; what should I do?
If the Course pages are not loading completely, you may want to disconnect & reconnect your Internet connection, restart your computer and log back in. This type of problem is typically caused by your Internet Service Provider (“ISP") and heavy Internet traffic. If you continue to experience problems, we recommend exiting and returning at a later time to complete the Course when the Internet traffic is not as heavy.
The Course is very small on my screen. What can I do to make it larger?
To maximize the possible viewing area, first close “Favorites" if they
are open on the left side of the screen.
In Internet Explorer,
select from the menu “View" then “Toolbars." Uncheck extra toolbars that
are selected. This will minimize the “header" area in your Internet
browser.
What are your hours of operation?
We are available for support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except Christmas and New Year’s Day. You can reach us at help@SAFETY-USA.com, or by phone at 1-800-980-2170 (Hearing impaired can call 1-800-980-2172 TDD/TTY). The SAFETY-USA website is available 24/7.
How do I use the multimedia pages in the DriverSafety USA Course?
In most cases, the media elements in the DriverSafety USA Course are
self-operating – that is, video elements, sound and animations will play
as they’re available without any additional action by you.
When
using video elements, you can pause/restart playback at any point by using
the large “play button” control element, or adjust the volume using a
video-specific volume controller on the video playback module.
You
can view interactive or animated elements again by using the “Replay”
button as available.
